will be exhibiting at the Community Art Space for the month of July.
There is a good selection of beautifully carved woodwork on display which you can view during the
Exhibition opening times
Wednesday, Friday and Saturday between 11:00am and 2:00pm.
The object of the exhibition is to raise the profile of woodturning amongst the general public & attract new members.

Artists Neal and Helena Vaughan and Abel Kesteven will turn Sutton's Community Art Space into an Artists Studio for the entire month of April.  During the month the artists will create and exhibit work, inspired by Sutton and the surrounding area.  The work will even include pieces made on location in Sutton's famous shopping areas and surrounding parks and streets.
The artists hope to demonstrate their everyday art practice, highlight the diverse arts events that happen in the Sutton area and encourage the public to get involved.

You can also find them at the Honeywood Heritage Centre on the last May Bank HolidayWeekend creating work for the
IMAGINE ARTS FESTIVAL

MARCH 2010

DAVE TRIBE
BORN AND BRED IN SUTTON.
LARGELY SELF TAUGHT BUT ALSO TUTORED AT SCOLA FOR SEVERAL YEARS.
THIS EXHIBITION SHOWS THE VERSATILITY POSSIBLE WITH OILS AND THAT PAINTING CAN BE EXPERIMENTAL, SERIOUS OR FUN
For more information look at www.david.tribe.btinternet.co.uk
Dave is currently Joint Chairman and Programme Secretary at Epsom and Ewell Art Group. www.epsomandewellartgroup.webs.com

Dave is retired and has lots of time to paint. He is currently Co-Chairman and Programme Secretary of the sixty year old Epsom and Ewell Art Group.
He started painting in oils in 1953, but has only really developed his style and very wide range of subject matter over the past 15 years. This was after a career in the manufacturing industry.
Although he will paint anything – ranging from conventional landscapes, portraits and still life – his favourite subjects, probably influenced by his background, are urban landscapes with an industrial flavour often including clearly defined perspective elements.
He seeks out unusual compositions, always attempting to include the ‘wow factor’ to ensure that viewers will always stop to take a second look. He has just recovered from a love affairs with Battersea Power Station and the Tate Modern building, but has now moved on to alley-ways (the views that most of us walk past without a second glance).
He has exhibited, and sold work, widely, including the Mall Galleries and Bankside Gallery in London where he, last year, won a prize in a National exhibition for the over 60s..
By way of complete change, he also produces humorous parodies of some of the iconic impressionist paintings – the contrast can be seen on www.david.tribe.btinternet.co.uk. where about half the paintings shown have been sold
He admires talents as diverse as Patrick Caulfield, Tracey Emin, David Hockney and Ken Howard and visits most new exhibitions in London - getting maximum mileage from his Freedom Pass!
