A hands on presentation involves showing a Silk Road with an introduction to the history of the iconic Silk Road, a talk where I share the inspiration for the community art project and its development since May 2008, followed by Q&A session. A nominal fee of £50, payable in advance, will be charged plus extra for travelling costs outside a 10mile radius from SM2 postcode. Additional costs will be incurred if it is necessary for me to bring an assistant along.

Mixed age groups, adults, friends, families at your home:
Up to 6 participants:
£20
per person incl all materials - table cover, aprons, pencils, brushes, gutta,
silk paints, silk to practise, silk suncatcher, selection of designs or
bring your own image; within a 10mile radius of SM2 postcode. Allow 2 hours plus half hour each side to set up and set down. Bring an old t-shirt to work in.
For
groups of more than 6 it will be necessary to bring an assistant
If an
assistant is required add £5 per person
For parties of 20 or more please call to discuss this as the rate will depend on ages of people attending and number of assistants required

"The party went very smoothly. It was a wonderful
opportunity for the children to create something complex and unique using
beautiful materials and paints. Each painting was different and every child was
able to take something home that they had made from scratch that looked
beautiful and intricate. They got the opportunity to see how the different
colours and textures worked together, under the gentle and careful supervision
of an experienced artist.
Your role in the party was around offering
support and facilitation and not as director or teacher and that worked very
well, particularly for my daughter. What you did was very understated and I
think that is another part of the beauty of what you offered."
