About SamiArt Workshops:
"I initially contacted Samia’s mum who came along to our event to do colour therapy and she gave me the details for Samia’s website.
I thought a Silk Road workshop was just the thing to inspire creative talent and ensure a joining together of residents on the day to make something personal and real to them through their own efforts.
We set up an initial workshop prior to the day and invited some residents to come along and help design the silk- we all had a great morning being creative. The silk was 'coloured in' with silk paints by yet more residents & guests on our Health & Well Being Day.
We are now in possession of the finished result - a beautiful piece of art created with love and dedication by the residents of Sutton Housing Society. Thanks so much, Samia, for all your inspiration & creativity, time and help, both before and on the day.

'We were introduced to Samia through Sutton Arts Council. She was working with them promoting an Arts & Crafts project 'Taking Part' which Cloverdale Court Day Club took part in.
Samia was assigned to us for 5 weeks for 2 hours a session to teach our clients & staff Arts & Crafts.
Her enthusiasm & passsion for this subject was very inspiring. She was empathic to the needs of our clients & encouraged them to reach their own individual potential.
She evoked a lot of feeling & clearly is passsionate about her work. We are sincerely grateful for the time she spent with us & we have all learnt a new skill which we will be able to continue to use.'
